All computers with Intel or AMD processors must support Physical Address Extension (PAE), No eXcute
bit (NX), and Streaming SIMD Extensions 2 (SSE2). For 64-bit Systems, it is recommended the processor
supports Second Layer Address Translation (SLAT).

Windows 8 available in both 32- and 64-bit versions. The retail version comes with both 32- and 64-bit
installation DVDs. The 32-bit version of Windows 8 will run on 3rd generation, also known as IA-32 or
x86, and newer processors. You can also run 16-bit applications, but the feature needs to be enabled.
The feature is disabled by default since rarely any programs are released as a 16-bit program.

The 64-bit version of Windows 8 will run on 8th generation (IA-64 or x64) and newer processors and can
run both 32- and 64-bit programs. All 32-bit version are limited to 4GB of memory and the 64-bit version is
limited to 192GB. It's theoretical the 64-bit versions may access up to 2TB of System Memory.
There has been many changes made to this version of Windows and not many people are happy. I personally think it's worse than
Vista. The Windows line has been pretty much the same since Windows 95. Microsoft decided to remove many of the features and add
new features to help speed up the Windows boot process and make it more secure. Despite Microsoft's intentions for Windows 8, there
are many problems with the new OS.

When customers are removing Windows 8 to install Windows 7, that says a lot about the new OS. People from XP and Vista have the
hardest time adjusting to the new OS.  In my opinion, I believe Microsoft changed too much too soon and didn't give people enough
time to adjust to the new OS style. Microsoft did recognize the problems with Windows 8 and released the 8.1 update a year later, in
2013.
